Hi Sue, I added links to my previous "Gray" posts in May '09 and January of this year. I think by the next update the gray will be almost or totally gone, depending on how short I'm willing to go.
Thank goodness I found this site! I've been struggling with this 'going natural' issue for months now. The hair band idea is going to save me!! It was either that, or wear a hat until summer! Wigs are out of the question! I tried going grey a few years ago but made the mistake of getting a perm which turned my beautiful salt and pepper hair to a yucky yellowish color. That's why I decided to start dyeing my hair. I also want to let my hair grow longer…au natural is my mantra these days!
If I never visit my hairdresser for the rest of my life, I will be THRILLED!! Thanks for this, Dr. El.
Good luck, Anonymous! You might want to check out my "Going Gray: I'm Done!" post to see the final outcome. Also, there's a good website called Going Gray Looking Great that has inspiring photos and stories to help you along your path.
Dr. El,
I don't recall the date of your original post, how long has it been? You still have quite a bit of color.
